About:
Cassana has been performing for as long as she can remember but began to take music more seriously as a career in her early teens. At just age 14, Cassana won the Hertfordshire Young Musician of the Year award as part of a dynamic original duo. The pair then recorded an original album before pursuing their own individual paths. Cassana continued writing and performing, recording an co-producing a solo album at just 16 years old. She performed live on radio, performed consistently around the local gig network and then, at just 17 years old, she went on to tour to the Ontario region of Canada and was fortunate enough to experience everything from busking to festivals. Cassana continued performing until meeting her now-husband and settling down to have her family. Cassana experienced having three premature babies, and through this experience the song “Tiny Hands” was born. The original song was then recorded, filmed and released for Bliss, the charity for babies born too soon, too small or too sick, with the help of some incredible creatives. The song was released on World Prematurity Day in November 2013 and reached number 1 in the iTunes easy listening charts and 84 in the official charts. Since then, Cassana has set up her own performing arts academy, passing on her knowledge and experience to the next generation and is once again entering the world of performing arts through music, theatre and acting.
